Angelcare Monitor Description
The Angelcare Deluxe Movement Sensor with Sound Monitor detects your baby’s slightest movements, even while she sleeps. The under-mattress baby monitor with sensor mat detects your baby’s slightest movements and an alarm will sound if no movement is detected for 20 seconds. The Sensor Pad sends a signal to the Nursery Unit which sounds an alarm, alerting you to check your baby. If you are out of the baby’s room, the two portable Parents’ Units (Sound Monitor) will pick up the alarm as well as other nursery sounds. In addition, there is an optional “tic” feature. If the Sensor Pad senses movement, a tic sound will be heard into the Parents Units. The two Parents’ Units give you the flexibility of always leaving one in your bedroom while moving the second unit to the room you are in while your baby is sleeping.
Note: Your crib needs to have a hard flat surface below the mattress. If it does not, simply place a piece of mdf or a board under the mattress and place the Sensor Pad on top of the mdf and under the mattress. Follow the installation instructions in the manual.

As a new mom and also the first of my friends to have a baby, all this stuff is very new to me. I researched lots of monitors online and also read lots of reviews and decided to go with this Angelcare baby monitor. I have been worried about SIDS since my little guy was born and the thought of me going to sleep at night with him alone in another room worries me, probably much like most new parents. He slept in our room for the first 3 months but he needed to get into his own room so that he wouldn’t grow bad habits. It was really hard for me but I know I had to do it. This monitor senses his breathing incredibly well and the sound is crystal-clear. If he were to stop breathing it would make a very loud beeping sound to alert you. It has gone off a few times but luckily they have all been false alarms. He tends to move up to the corner of the crib and the sensor pad just needs to be re-positioned a bit further up. You can also adjust the sensitivity level. My husband and I like that the monitor shows the temperature in the room too. We live in an apartment and the heaters are either really hot or really cold, so it’s nice to know that the baby has the correct temperature at night. The monitor is really easy to set up and the range is great on it. I love this monitor and it gives my husband and I peace of mind at night knowing he’s safe.
My husband and I both agree that this was the best money we ever spent getting ready for our little one. We can sleep knowing that if he was to stop breathing that the alarm would wake us. You definitely can’t put a price on peace of mind. My sister is getting ready to have her second baby and she wants to get this Angelcare monitor for her baby.
The monitor sounds if there is no movement. It also sounds if the bedroom has gotten too hot or cold (you set the temperature.) The portable monitor sounds if it has lost connection with the main monitor. The monitor even has back-up batteries in case the power fails. I just can’t say enough positive things about this brilliant product!
There were some false alarms, but once we got all the settings right, there were very few of them. This monitor also kept others, who woke up before me from picking him up because they knew an alarm would sound (LOL).
I would recommend this monitor to everyone.
